This statement should include the focus of the study, why the study of this topic is important, how the study of this topic will help you answer a question in your organization, and what you and your understandings will bring to this study including how you will address your own personal biases. This statement should be approximately 1 page in length. Eventually the research topic statement forms the basis for your Literature Review introduction, which is approximately 5% of your paper.
