What did you learn about their traditions and values; culture and language(s)? Goals for their child?… etc… Literacy Practices: Include what you learned about the specific ways in which this student engages in literacy outside of the classroom. How does the family engage in literacy at home? Does this student enjoy reading and writing? What genres or types of books does the student like to read or write? Think about “non-traditional” types of literacy like comics, graphic novels, multimedia, etc…Be sure to include specific examples from the interview and include quotes from the parent or caregiver.
