B‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍uilding on the Comparative Problem-Response Brief. The comparative case study should investigate what research has been done on the crime problem and response using international criminological research literature. Students will need to compare what is happening in their two chosen jurisdictions and then apply one jurisdiction’s response to the other jurisdiction. For example, a student comparing two jurisdictions (e.g. 1 and 2) could apply the response from jurisdiction 2 to jurisdiction 1, or vice versa. Students will need to address the suitability and applicability of the response in the chosen jurisdiction (would it work? why/why not?), provide analysis and critique of this application, and determine whether the chosen response should be recommended.
