G‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍etawayBloom is a travel agent that operates globally. The company specializes in setting up itineraries for their customers from scratch. GetawayBloom already has systems in place to let users pick a package at different holiday destinations, and would like you to build an app that would serve the customer in planning their holiday at the destination itself. They expect users to use this app to plan out their trip at the holiday destination selected. Typically, their customers will be on some combined holiday package where the rental of a vehicle is included in the cost. In the first stage of the development, the company wants to develop the app for a single user and as the business grows, the company will want more features added to the app. The app should be user friendly and have a clear interface design with seamless navigation. The company has emphasized that they do not want to see tabs on the interface. Users should not have to scroll up/down the app to view the relevant information. All the information and controls should be visible to the user within the constraints of the window with the exception of viewing all saved vacations. The user should be able to view the app on a desktop browser. In addition, the app interface should be responsive when viewing from a mobile device. (eg. content reflows and resizes appropriately, no overlapping elements). The company expects the customer to either use a 10.5 inch tablet in landscape mode or 6 inch mobile phone in portrait mode. Based on the preliminary discussion with the client, GetawayBloom, the following key requirements (features) have been identified. 1. The user should be able to plan a vacation at a selected destination. 2. The user should be able to select a vehicle type for the vacation 3. The user should be able to create the route by searching and adding multiple points of interest . 4. The user should be able to modify the order of the interm‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍ediary points of the route and remove any of the intermediary points. 5. The user should be able to see all planned vacations. 6. The user should be able to view detailed information about a planned vacation 7. The user should be able to see the travel path and the travel distance of the planned trip. You should ensure you check the FAQ for this assignment as well. Any additional information provided there is considered part of the formal specifications for this project. You can reword or group the list of requirements above as required. Notes to the writer: – Please read the descriptions in the attached documents, I have provided the wireframes for how it should look, a project brief, links to the APIs you are supposed to use and any other pertinent details. You have to code it using HTML and Javascript following the provided file format. – This is a first year undergrad course, so please don’t use complicated JS code, the vacation details and etc. should be stored using classes and all the actions should be performed using basic features of JS code. – You should only use the MDL library for HMTL code, link is https://getmdl.io/ – If you can, please annotate the code and explain as much as possible – I have included a “requirements” document which will provide you with all the API links, MDL library, config.js and services.js files. They are located underneath the description (since the description is a picture the links wont work, but underneath each picture are the actual links) – You don’t need to write any of the “content” about the company on the homepage, just write: “content text here” in the HTML file The google drive link to all of the aforementioned files is below, let me know if you don’t have access to anything. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OplRMCs6c-JxDcflGcYDYdOfVMjOngSV?usp=sharing Thank you, please contact me with any questions‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍.
