This can be a start-up, a large company, a small specialized supplier, an NGO, a department in the public administration. You are free in your choice, as long as you chose a real organization. The only exception is if you are proposing a new start-up. Be mindful that choosing a start-up gives you more freedom to develop your ideas, but it is also riskier as you will have less information on which to rely.

The industries/fields described above are very broad, and you might benefit from narrowing your analysis. For instance, you could look at retail in UK, or focus your analysis on healthcare for chronic conditions.
