One of the key parts of a business plan is being able to convey to the investor how your business is different from the Competition. In most cases they are looking for how you are better, stronger, faster, and/or more knowledgeable than the competition.

 

Complete the assignment and submit it by 1159pm eastern time on Sunday of the second week.

 

Objective

 

By the end of the second week, the student will be able to perform a SWOT analysis on their own company and their competitors .

 

Instructions

 

Prepare a 300-word paper outlining in detail how your company is different from your key competitors.  Answer the question: “What sets you apart from your Competition.” Deadline: Sunday 1159 PM Eastern Time.

 

PAPER OUTLINE – Five (5) points

The 300-word paper must include the following:

 

A SWOT analysis of your company, make use of the Strategic Position and Risk Assessment chapter of the Abrams text (Chapter 9).  Identify two key strengths and how you will overcome two key weaknesses of your business model.

Clearly identify at least two key Opportunities and Threats that will either move your company forward or hold it back.

What are the critical & key points that will make you successful by either taking market share away from your competitors or developing a new and unique market segment.    

GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES

 

Make good use of your notes form the Project and Team Management class and Chapter 9 of the Abrams text (pages 133-148).

 

Deliverables

 

Spelling and grammar are a key component to any written material and will be closely reviewed in your postings.
