Mindfulness in Conflict Resolution

Mindfulness is increasingly becoming an accepted practice in organizational settings. Many people think that mindfulness meditation means relaxing and claim they can’t sit still or get calm sitting quietly. Actually, the practice of meditation is to notice the busy mind and allow the busyness to not have so much power over thought. Eckhard Tolle prefers to use the term presence as well as Peter Senge’s organization focus on presence. What kinds of experience have you had with meditation? What role do you think it may play in regard to conflict, power, and negotiation, if any?
