Each student will select ONE specific disease/condition of interest from the diseases/conditions discussed in the course for this for the assignment. Each student will create a fictional patient scenario or find a real-life case study of a patient with the selected disease/condition. Id a real-life case study is used, please provide the source at the end of your assignment in APA format. Each student will use the ICF classification system to help the team of healthcare professionals understand how to care for the patient. Please use Table 1-1 under Structure of the ICF in Chapter 1 to describe key areas for the patient. Students can also use online sources, including the WHO website, (Links to an external site.) to better understand the ICF model. Each student will select ONE healthcare professional that would be a part of the patient’s healthcare team and write a short summary (at least 5 complete sentences) on how this team member can provide quality healthcare based on the information provided by the ICF model. Students can consider the perspective of a healthcare professional in their career interest (example: if the student is interested in physical therapy, the summary can be what a physical therapist would find helpful to treat the patient based on the information from the ICF model).
